ESTHER HAMNER, Winterset

Esther Hamner, 94, of Winterset died Feb. 6, 2007, at Winterset Care Center South.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 10, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Rich Koster officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Esther Hamner was born Jan. 11, 1913, in Adair County to Henry John and Ella Elizabeth (Mumford) Schrader. On Dec. 29, 1941, she married Walter Hamner in Grant City, Mo. Esther, a homemaker, had been a resident of Winterset throughout her married life. She also was a member of the Winterset First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Harry Alvin Schrader; and three sisters, Alice Irene Low, Helen Roberta Kness and Opal Annie Kolbe.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
