Jack B. Livingston, 80, of Winterset died Feb. 11, 2007, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date at Lorimor United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandy Smith officiating. The cremains will be interred in the Lorimor Cemetery at a later date.

Jack Livingston was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Union County to C.E. and Blanche (Ham) Livingston and was a graduate of Zion High School. Jack served in the United States Army following World War II. His marriage to Anna Katherine took place Feb. 1, 1948, in Des Moines. He was a lifetime resident and farmer of Madison County and a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by one son, Malcom Livingston, and an infant granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine, of Winterset; three sons, Steve Livingston and Greg Livingston, both of Winterset, and Rod Livingston of Bangkok, Thailand; one daughter, Sherry Lund of Jewell; three brothers, Rex Livingston of Fontanelle, Gene Livingston of Menlo and Hugh Livingston of Indianola; a sister, Lila Jackson of Boone; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions to the family will be directed to the Lorimor United Methodist Church or Middle River Hospice.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel & Funeral Services in Winterset.

Jack was born on November 5, 1926, at Union County, Iowa to C. E. and Blanche (Ham) Livingston. He was married on February 1, 1948, at Des Moines, Iowa, to Anna Katherine Livingston.

He had been a farmer and enjoyed his family very much. He was a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church. After graduating from Zion High School, he served in the U.S. Army following WW II. He had been a lifetime resident of Madison County.

Jack is survived by his wife, Katherine Livingston of Winterset; sons, Steve (Kathy) Livingston of Winterset, Greg (Darcy) Livingston of Winterset, and Rod (Deborah) Livingston of Bangkok, Thailand; daughter, Sherry (Mark) Lund of Jewell; daughter-in-law, Kristi Livingston of Columbia, MO; brothers, Rex (Mary) Livingston of Fontanelle, Gene Livingston of Menlo, and Hugh (Shirley) Livingston of Indianola; sister, Lila Jackson of Boone; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Malcom Livingston and an infant granddaughter.

Memorials given to the family will be directed to Lorimor United Methodist Church or Middle River Hospice.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel & Funeral Services in Winterset.
