TRURO FARMER IS SUICIDE VICTIM

R. C. Wright Takes Own Life With Gun Tuesday Morning

R. C. Wright, a well-known farmer of near Truro, committed suicide by shooting himself to death early Tuesday morning, at his farm home, one and one-half miles south of that town.

Mr. Wright was 56 years old. He had suffered severly from asthma in recent years, and had recently returned from the southwest where he had gone seeking relief.

Apparently unable to sleep, Mr. Wright arose from bed about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday and went out into the yard. A few minutes later his wife heard a shotgun blast. When she investigated she found her husband dead in the yard.

County Coroner Paul Eggleston was called and after an investigation, he termed the death a suicide, and said that no inquest was necessary.

Wright had lived with his wife and son, Everett. Another son, Howard Wright, lives on a nearby farm.

(Burial was in the Hartman cemetery)
