SATTERLEE SERVICE HELD LAST SATURDAY

Funeral services for G. M. Satterlee of Winterset were held last Saturday from Anderson’s home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. Wesley Lowry. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Satterlee’s death had occurred last Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Memorial hospital here. He had been in failing health for several months, but had entered the hospital only that morning. He was 81 years of age.

He was born April 10, 1876, near Booneville, a son of Oliver and Elizabeth Satterlee. He was married to Myrtle Jones at Winterset on Nov. 19, 1900. They farmed in Madison county nearly all their lives, moving to Winterset a year ago.

Surviving are his wife; six children, Orval Satterlee of St. Charles, Mrs. Don Travis and Max Satterlee of Winterset, Oren Satterlee of Mankato, Minn., Burdette Satterlee of Moline, Ill., and Howard Satterlee of Winterset; and nine grandchildren.
