Former Winterset Resident Died Oct. 22 in Car Accident
Charles S. Greenwood of Denver, Colo., all of whose early life was spent in this community, died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Oct. 22 near Eagle, Colo., it was learned here this week. He was 44 years of age.
Mr. Greenwood was the youngest son of Ira and Amanda Greenwood, and was born in Madison county Nov. 20, 1903. He lived here until going to Colorado 23 years ago. For the last 8 years he had lived in Denver.
Among his surviving relatives, are his mother, Mrs. Ira Greenwood of Winterset, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Cuddie Semler, Guiher and Ward Greenwood of Winterset; Mrs. Grace Betts of Grimes; Mrs. Margarett Lee of Williamsburg; Mrs. C. O. Amista of Tucson, Arizona; Merle Greenwood of Des Moines and Eli Greenwood of Branson, Missouri.
Funeral services and burial were held Monday at Denver.
