MRS. JOE KING, SR. DIED LAST WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Joe King Sr. died July 17 about 3 p.m. at Mercy hospital in Des Moines where she had been taken on July 11 from a Des Moines nursing home. Mrs. King who was 82 years of age was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Dooley and the wife of the late Joe King Sr. who died in Sept. 1954.

She is survived by six sons, Joe and Charlie of Cummings, George of Norwalk, Walter of Van Wert, John and Louis of Prole and one daughter, Mrs. Theresa Bishop of Ankeny. Four sisters also survive Mrs. King. They are Mrs. Tommy King and Mrs. Stevie Connor of Cumming, Mrs. Cora Reiman of Oregon and Mrs. Agnes Hamm of St. Marys, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death, George and James Dooley and one sister Nora Reiman. Thirty grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive her.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. on Friday from St. Patricks church Irish settlement with the Rev. Father Gaul celebrating the requiem high mass and burial was in the family lot there. The six sons served as pallbearers.
