Death of F. M. Johnson

The death of Francis Madison Johnson, a retired farmer who had made his home in Winterset for many years, occurred at his home here on Wednesday of last week.

Mr. Johnson was 76 years old. He was born February 25, 1860. His wife, the former Lucretia Howard, preceded him in death. One son and one daughter also died in infancy.

Surviving are his two sons, Ira and Oliver Johnson of Winterset, and a daughter, Mrs. Ina Weaver of Greenfield; in addition to five brothers, two sisters and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ in Winterset last Friday in charge of the pastor, the Rev. H. L. Olmstead. Burial was made in the Wight cemetery
