Winterset, IowaGeorge W. Harris Dies At 74 Years
George W. Harris, a former Madison county resident, died Saturday, Feb. 23, at his home in Adel, following a heart attack. He was 74 years of age.
Mr. Harris was born in Illinois Sept. 11, 1882. He is survived by his wife, Nellie; a son, Ted L. Harris of Adel; two daughters, Mrs. Harris Kenworthy of Des Moines and Mrs. Chester Hester of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Eckstein of Winterset and Cora Shutt of Illinois; and a brother, Lee Harris of Earlham.
He also leaves three step-daughters, Mrs. Kale Lucas of Winterset, Mrs. Carlin Wools of Kansas City, and Mrs. Albert Turley of Adel.
