DEWEY HOOTMAN IS KILLED IN WRECK

Word has been received here that Dewey Hootman, former Winterset grocer was killed Friday night in an auto accident. It is stated that his car collided with another machine driven by Wayne B. Weptune of Ottumwa, about three miles west of Chariton. Weptune suffered shock though he was not seriously injured.

Mr. Hootman had a grocery store on the west side of the square several years ago. He moved his stock to Woodburn and has since conducted a store there. Funeral services were held a Woodburn Tuesday, November 14th.
