Page 8HARRY HAMNER DIED LAST WEDNESDAY
Harry Hamner, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Wednesday, May 1, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 63years of age.
Mr. Hamner was born on what is known as the Old Queen farm in this county on Nov. 2, 1893. He was a machinist by trade, and for the past four years had been employed in that capacity at the Solar Aircraft plant in Des Moines. He was a member of the International association of Machinists.
He was a son of David and Eliza Hamner, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married Feb. 12, 1943, to the former Hattie Banta Sherer.
Surviving are his wife; two step-daughters, Mrs. Flossie Ridout and Mrs. Audrey Burow; four brothers, Roy, Walter, George and Fred Hamner; and five sisters, Mrs. Vernie Hammock, Mrs. Laura Rodriquez, Mrs. Eva Wagner, Mrs. Lenore Brown and Mrs. Louise Hines.
Funeral services were held Friday from the St. Charles Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Joe King. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
