Mrs. Edward Schoenenberger Succumbs Following Stroke
Mrs. Edward D. Schoenenberger died at her home in Winterset last Saturday, April 24, about a week after having suffered a severe stroke. She was 77 years of age.
Mrs. Schoenenberger had spent her entire life in Madison county, except for a short period in Union county. She was the former Margaret M. Harrell, daughter of Lewis and Martha Harrell, and was born May 20, 1870.
She was married to Edward D. Schoenenberger on Feb. 22, 1893. They were the parents of two children. Their married life was spent in farming, until they retired and moved into Winterset about a year ago.
She is survived by her husband; the son, Ree Schoenenberger, of Humboldt, Minn., and daughter, Mrs. Blanche Tilp of Gowrie; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Hettie Deal of Newton, Kan.; and a brother, Cleveland Harrell of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. G. L. Hufstader, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
