MRS. THOMAS MCKEE DIES

Mrs. Thomas McKee, well known resident of Madison county, died at her home, west of Winterset, Wednesday morning, May 17th at 10:45 o'clock at the age of 77 years. Mrs. McKee had been ill with heart trouble for about a month, but her condition became critical on Sunday.

The deceased was the former Anna M. Gormly, a daughter of William and Susan J. Harold. She was born in Washington county, September 24, 1855. Here she was married to Thomas McKee on September 12, 1876. They were the parents of eight children, five of whom, with the father, survive her; Frank of Earlham, Harry of Grand Island, Nebraska, Dean of Shenandoah and J. W. and John of Winterset. Two daughters, Minnie and Helen and a son Tommy have preceded her in death. She also leaves two brothers, Robert Gormly of Fairfield and Calvin of Wenatchee, Washington.

The McKees came to Madison county in 1900 and in 1901 purchased the farm in Douglas township on which they have since resided.

Funeral services will be held at the United Presbyterian church at 9 o'clock Thursday morning and the body will be taken to Crawfordsville for burial.
