ROY BARKER DIED HERE WEDNESDAY

Former Lorimor Merchants Had Been Ill Past Several Years

L. L. (Roy) Barker, former hardware merchants in Lorimor, died this Wednesday morning, Sept. 25, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. He had been in ill health several years. He was 66 years of age.

Mr. Barker was born and spent most of his active life in Webster County, where he engaged in farming. He came to the Lorimor community about 1933. Where he farmed until 1939, when he purchased the hardware store in Lorimor. For the last two years his home had been in Winterset.

He leaves his wife; a son, Norman L. Barker of Winterset; a brother, Carl Barker of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services had not been completed as the Madisonian went to press, but will be held at Lorimor, probably this Friday. Burial will be made at Ft. Dodge.
