Guy N. Funk, West Coast Jeweler, Was Reared in Winterset
Guy N. Funk, former Winterset resident, who has been in the jewelry business at Wenatchee, Wash., for a number of years, died at a hospital there Jan. 6th at the age of 59 years. He was stricken with a heart attack and taken to the Wenatchee hospital where he died five days later.
Mr. Funk was born and raised in Winterset but moved west when a young man. He had been in the jewelry business in Wenatchee since 1925, and had taken an active part in community affairs.
The Wenatchee newspaper stated that he was particularly well known for his gifted voice and had leading parts in many of the musical productions of the city. He served in World War I and was drum major of the American Legion drum corps for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Alice White Funk. Funeral and burial services were held at Wenatchee.
