St. Charles - Word was received her last Tuesday of the death of John Welch Barger at his home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Barger was a brother of Mrs. S. O. Banker and Mrs. J. E. Worthing. The Bankers, the Worthings, Alex Mitchell, Marion, Mitchell, J. D. Phillips and Zeke Phillips came together from Coshocton county, Ohio about fifty years ago and settled on farms around Truro. Later Mr. Barger became a railroad engineer and moved south.
