Death Occurred Wednesday at Hospital in Iowa City
Percy C. McKinney, a well known farmer of the Macksburg community, died last Wednesday, Dec. 12 at University hospital in Iowa City. He was 59 years of age.
Mr. McKinney was born at Macksburg, March 21, 1897, a son of Winfield and Arabella Broadhead McKinney. With the exception of a few years in Idaho, his life was spent in Madison county.
He was married Sept. 17, 1934, at Ogden, Utah to Faye Allsop, who survives him. He also leaves his mother, Arabella McKinney of Winterset; three sons, Marvon McKinney of Arlington, Va., Audry McKinney of Creston, and Paul McKinney at home; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Hegart of Oildale, Calif., Mrs. Maurine Nelson of Lorimor, and LaDene McKinney at home; a brother, Claude McKinney, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Palmer, of Macksburg.
Funeral services were held from the Macksburg Methodist church in charge of the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz of the Winterset Methodist church assisted by the Rev. E. K. Parrott.
