March 1956Albert Von Rentzell In Fatal Car Accident
Funeral services were held for Albert Von Rentzell Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Earlham Church of Christ. Royal Woodley was in charge. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
Mr. Von Rentzell had been working on construction work in Kansas for the past several months. He was returning home to spend a few days between jobs, Friday, March 2. It is reported that there was a dust storm in the area around Ashland, Kansas, when for some reason his car left the road and resulted in injuries which caused his death, shortly after arrival at the hospital. Mr. Von Rentzell was traveling alone. His obituary follows:

ALBERT HERMAN VON RENTZELL
Albert Herman von Rentzell son of William and Lizzie von Rentzell was born October 15, 1902 at the family home near Fordland, Missouri.
At the age of six years he moved with his parents to a farm near Center, Nebraska. He attended the public schools and grew to manhood at Center.
Albert entered the Kingdom of God by baptismal sacrament December 26, 1902 at Fordland, Missouri.
He was united by marriage to Mae Coffman at Adel, Iowa on July 8, 1934. Three sons and three daughters were born to this union.
His work with a construction company required his traveling through several states. For the past ten years he has made his home in Earlham.
Albert passed away at 6:30 Friday night, March 2 from results of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Ashland, Kansas at the age of 53 years, four months and 16 days.
Three daughters proceded him in death. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife, three sons, Dean, Dale and Dennis all of Earlham. His father, William of Center, Nebraska. Three sisters, Mrs. William (Grace) Beckman of Winnetoon, Nebraska. Mrs. Reinhard (Bertha) Doen of Creighton, Nebraska; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Koenig of Center, Nebraska.
