Rev. Steinmetz Conducts Rites for 96 Year Old Resident
Funeral services were held Friday from Anderson’s home for funerals for Lee B. Tidrick of Winterset, whose death had occurred here Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the age of 96 years. The Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Tidrick was a member of a pioneer family in this community, and was a life-long resident of Winterset. He was engaged in the insurance business here for 60 years.
He was one of seven children born to Dr. L. M and Martha Bell Tidrick He was born in Winterset March 2, 1860. As a young man he was married in Sarah Alice Rutledge. Her death occurred in 1944. a son and daughter also preceded him in death.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Grace Alexander of Bell, Calif. Two sons, Arthur Tidrick of North Hollywood, Calif., and Clarence Tidrick of Winterset, a brother, Charles Tidrick of Chamberlain, S. Dak.; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
