LAST RITES HELD FOR J. W. EVERETT

Funeral services for J. W. Everett, 91, who died at Mercy hospital in Des Moines on Nov. 20, were held last Friday afternoon at the Fisher Funeral home in Van Meter. Burial was in the Booneville cemetery.

The son of John S. and Elizabeth McCown Everett, he was born May 31 near Knoxville, Ia., the youngest of 11 children. He was married to Ida Armstrong of Knoxville on Oct. 10, 1889, and she preceded him in death in 1935.

He farmed at Grimes and later near Booneville until his retirement 10 years ago and for the past year he had made his home at the Bishop Drumm home in Des Moines.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank W. Miller of Des Moines and Mrs. Harry Swallow of Booneville; three grandchildren, Mrs. L.E. Geist of West Des Moines, Mrs. Richard Sharpnack of West Des Moines and Wayne Swallow of Earlham; and five great grandchildren.
