Death William E. Garretson

William E. Garretson passed away suddenly Monday evening at his home at Portland, Oregon. He was taken ill suddenly Monday with heart trouble. Mr. Garretson was born and raised in Madison county.

He was in the jewelry business while here, moving to Portland about forty-five years ago. After going to Portland he studied, becoming a doctor of optics. He was about 74 years of age at the time of his death.

One son survives him. His wife died about three years ago.

Mr. Garretson was the son of the late N. U. Garretson and a brother of F. A. Garretson of this city.
