EFFIE LEMON GENO DIES IN FLORIDA

Death Comes Suddenly to Former Winterset Resident

Mrs. Effie Lemon Geno, a resident of Winterset for nearly a decade, died suddenly Saturday in Sarasota, Fla., where she and her husband were spending the winter. She was 71 years of age.

Mrs. Geno was a native of near Delta, where she was born Aug. 2, 1885, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Reynolds. She was married Feb 21, 1906 to Corbin Lemon. They were parents of a daughter, Grace, and a son, Robert.

Mrs. And Mrs. Lemon spent their life at Sigourney until his death about 10 years ago, after which she moved to Winterset. She resided here until her marriage to Fred Geno on Oct. 19, 1956,. Since then they had maintained homes at Sigourney and in Florida.

She was a member of the Sigourney Christian church.

Her daughter preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband; the son, Robert Lemon of Winterset; four grandsons; a nephew, Bill Reynolds, whom she reared as a son; two sisters, Mrs. Delphia Lemon of Delta and Mrs. Marie Dugger of Oran; and a bother, Lloyd Reynolds of San Francisco.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Reynolds chapel at Sigourney and burial made in the Garrett cemetery near Delta.
