Louisa White Scrivner

Louisa White was born in Indiana, Jan. 7, 1853 and died at her home in Patterson, April 3, 1924, aged 71 years, 2 months and 27th days. In the early period of her life she moved to Madison county, where she made her home until the time of her death.

She was married to Chris Scrivner May 4, 1873. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters four of whom are living; Mrs. Viola Cole, Mrs. Bradie Pitzer and Edward, all of Des Moines, and Fred of Patterson. She is survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild; also two sisters and three brothers. Those who have preceded her in death are one daughter, two sisters and one brother.

She united with the church at the age of 15 and was a faithful member of the M. E. church to the time of her death. She was a member of Violet Camp 232, Royal Neighbors of America and a loyal member of the same. She was a faithful wife, and good mother and a friend to everyone. Her influence and memory will long continue for the good of man and the building up of God’s kingdom.

Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, W. M. Schenermann, and interment was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
