Thursday, September 1, 1932Death of M. A. Cox
St. Charles Special, August 27th - A message came to E. E. Cox of this place Friday telling of the death of his brother, Martin, at his home in Morgan, Minnesota. The news was not unexpected as he had been an invalid for several months following a stroke of paralysis and critically ill for about two weeks, having suffered the second stroke.
Mart, as he was familiarly known, was born and grew to manhood in the vicinity of St. Charles and had a large circle of friends here who will mourn his passing so early in life.
He was united in marriage to Miss Fae Brady of Macksburg who with one son Gerald, survive him. Other members of the family are four brothers; V. E. Cox of Sioux City; James of North Dakota; John of Payton and Ernest of this place. Four sisters; Mrs. Bertha Mongomery of Wyoming; Mrs. Rebecca Leggett of near Des Moines; Mrs. Bessie McDaniel of North Dakota and Mrs. Emma Riether of near Truro. Burial was at Macksburg Sunday afternoon.
