MRS. ANNA R. YOUNG DIES AT 81 YEARS

Funeral Rites Held Tuesday for Resident of Winterset

Mrs. Anna R. Young, a life-long resident of Madison county, died here Sunday, March 26, at the age of 81 years.

Mrs. Young was the former Anna Rachel Hamner, daughter of Valentine and Phoebe Hamner, and was born near Winterset Sept. 7, 1868.

She was married Oct. 6, 1884, to Joseph P. Young. They were the parents of four children, three of whom preceded the mother in death. Mr. Young died in 1941.

Mrs. Young had lived on farms in various parts of this county, but for many years her home had been in Winterset.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Florence Davis of Winterset, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. I. E. Linkletter, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
