Native of This Community Survived by Seven Children
Harry Wise, a native of Madison county, died Wednesday, April 5 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Kuhns of Des Moines. He was 69 years of age, and had been in ill health for an extended period.
Mr. Wise was born near Winterset, and was married to Mae Travis of this community in 1908. His wife died nine years ago.
Surviving are seven children; Maurice Wise of Patterson; Mrs. Ruth Kuhns of Des Moines; Gerald Wise of Lynwood, Calif.; Mrs. Dorothy Walker of Yukon, Ida.; Merrill Wise of Chicago; Mrs. Margaret Melody of Lake City; and Mrs. Adelaide Bek of Norwalk. He also leaves several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Martensdale Lutheran church, with burial being made in the Winterset cemetery.
