Death of Ammon Lake

Ammon Lake passed away at his home on East Benton street Saturday, February 6th at the age of 89 years, 6 months and six days. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Tidrick funeral home. Burial was in the Fellowship cemetery southwest of Ord. Reverend A. P. Keast of the Methodist church was in charge of the services.

Mr. Lake came to Iowa when 13 years of age. He was a native of Ohio. He has since made Madison County his home and has resided in Winterset for the past 30 years. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Hester Seevers who has made her home with him the past few years. He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews to mourn his loss.
