BERT ECKLEBERRY, ST. CHARLES DIES

Sudden Heart Attack is Fatal to Young Farmer

Bert Eckleberry, well known Madison county farmer, died last Friday, November 3rd, at his home near St. Charles. Mr. Eckleberry, who was 44 years of age, had apparently been in good health, but a sudden heart attack, caused his death.

The deceased, a son of Joe and Julia Eckleberry, was born August 8th, 1906, at Derby. He was married to Helen Smith, May 21, 1931, and they were the parents of four sons, Charles, David, Rex and Donnie. In 1940 the family moved from Wayne county, to the farm, which has since been their home. He was a member of the St. Charles Lions club.

In addition to his wife, and four sons, Mr. Eckleberry is survived by his mother, three sisters, and four brothers; Mrs. Kathleen Tucker of Akron, Colorado, Mrs. Wessie Breeding of Winterset, Mrs. Dorothy Stout of Des Moines, Forrest Eckleberry of Miami, Florida, Jack and Kenneth of Maxwell, and Ward Eckleberry of Champaign, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in St. Charles, Monday afternoon, and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
