JOHN A. DORRELL RITES HELD HERE

Death Occurred Saturday in Des Moines of Heart Ailment

John A. Dorrell, long-time resident of Winterset and Madison county, died last Saturday, Nov. 18, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oland Davis, in Des Moines. Mr. Dorell has been living in Des Moines for about a year. He was 63 years of age. Death resulted from a heart ailment.

Mr. Dorell was born near Winterset, March 17, 1887, and spent most of his life here. He was employed here as an automobile mechanic. He also had worked in a furniture shop.

He is survived by a son, Robert Dorrell of Afton; two daughters, Mrs. Oland Davis and Mrs. Merlin Peacock of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Anderson Home for Funerals, in charge of the Rev. Melvin Hanson of Winterset. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery here.
