Mrs. E. F.Connoran

Irene Elvira Young, was born September 4, 1849 in Erie county, Ohio and passed away at her home in Winterset, August 17, 1933. She came to Iowa with her parents in a covered wagon in 1856. They settled on a farm east of Winterset.

She was married to E. F. Connoran who passed away three years ago.

Mrs. Connoran was a charter member of the Woman's Relief Corp. She joined the Baptist church of which she was a faithful worker and a devout and beloved member, when she was sixtten and was now one of the oldest members. She had taught in the Sunday school and served in the different organizations throughout her whole life. At the time of her death she was a deaconess.

She is survived by one son, Clifton Connoran of Indianola and one daughter, Mrs. Warren Smith of Winterset. There are three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She will be greatly missed by her children and relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at Tidrick's funeral home and were conducted by Rev. Fred W. Madson.
