Had Lived on One Farm South of There for 49 Years

George A. Cutshall, a well-known resident of this community for many years, died Monday, Feb. 13 at the age of 73 years.
Mr. Cutshall was a son of Samuel and Sarah Cutshall, and was born on a farm near Van Meter April 19, 1877. His early life was spent on that farm. He attended the DeSoto and Dexter high schools and the CCCC Business college in Des Moines.
He was married in 1901 to Jane Green of Lohrville. They lived on one farm south of Van Meter for 49 years.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Gruber of Davenport, and Mrs. Leona Smith of Van Meter; one son, Clarence Cutshall of Montezuma; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Janie Sheets of Des Moines.
(Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery in Jefferson township)
