Death of John Lovelace

John Lovelace, a former resident of Winterset and Madison county died at his home in Aubudon last week. He was past 80 years of age, but used to return each fall for the annual Old Settlers picnic. His body was brought back here and burial was in the Winterset cemetery, last Saturday afternoon.

Injuries Are Fatal To Pioneer of County

John Lovelace, pioneer resident of Audubon county, died Tuesday in Audubon. He was badly injured in a fall three weeks ago, and had since been cared for at the home of his niece, Mrs. Charles Jones.

He had been a resident of Audubon 53 years. He is survived by one son, Oliver of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Funeral services were held today at 3:30 at the First Presbyterian church, the Rev. W. Z. Allen officiating. Burial will be at Winterset.
