Mrs. Minnie Pitzer passed away at Clarinda about 4:30 Tuesday morning, November 7th. Minnie E. Trindle was born in Warren county, Iowa, April 3, 1861.
On January 20, 1880, she was united in marriage to John W. Pitzer in Madison county by J. H. Chandler, then mayor of Winterset. To this union three sons were born, all of whom survive, Guy E. Pitzer of Van Meter; John Amos Pitzer of Grand Forks, North Dakota and Harry L. Pitzer of Council Bluffs. She is also survived by four brothers, Ira I. Trindle of Winterset; O. B. Trindle of Seattle, Washington; Sanford E. Trindle of Van Meter, and J. R. Trindle of Point Barrow, Alaska.
Mrs. Pitzer had been a resident of Van Meter ever since the death of her husband in 1895. The funeral service was held Thursday afternoon at the Fisher Funeral home in charge of Rev. E. A. Elliott. Interment was made in the Winterset cemetery by the side of her husband.
