Rinaedo G. Loomis

Rinaedo G. Loomis, second son of A. H. and Margaret Loomis was born in Darus county, Illinois, May 2, 1860 and departed this life at Clarinda hospital August 6, 1833.

In the year 1866 he with his parents and brother came to Iowa and settled on a farm in Madison county, Grand River township near Macksburg where he made his home and helped with the work on the farm. After the death of his father he with the family moved to Walnut township where he has since spent his entire life.

Mr. Loomis has always been an active farmer until last October when his health failed and he was confined to his home most of the time.

He leaves to mourn his passing one brother, Dr. F. W. Loomis of Shannon City and two half sisters, Mrs. Jerome Simpson of Hubbard, Miss Anna Loomis of Mt. Pleasant, and one half brother, L. A. Loomis of Thayer, besides seven nephews, four nieces and a host of friends.

His parents preceded him in death many years ago. A short time ago he told his loved ones he was ready to go.

Funeral services held in the Barney church at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Mrs. Wolfe of Lorimor in charge. Interment was made in Macksburg cemetery.
