DEATH OF DAVID HAMNER

David Hamner, well known resident of Madison county, died at his home southwest of Bevington, Sunday night, June 11th at the age of 66 years. Mr. Hamner had been in poor health for several years and had been seriously ill, the past two months.

The deceased was a son of Volnie and Phoebe Hamner and was born in Madison county, August 20, 1866. He spent his entire life in this county. His marriage to Eliza Belle Robertson, took place on June 9, 1892. They were the parents of ten children, all of whom survive the parents. Mrs. Hamner died October 13, 1931.

The Hamners lived for 32 years on a farm in Douglas township and only this spring moved to the Crawford township farm.

The children surviving are Harry Hamner, Bevington; Ray, Springfield, Minnesota; Vernie Hammock, St. Charles; Eva Wagner, George Hamner of Winterset; Louise Hines, Earlham and Walter, Fred, Lenore and Laura at home. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Joe Young and Mrs. William Grasty of Winterset.

The Rev. H. L. Olmstead conducted his funeral services Tuesday June 13, at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of Christ and burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
