INJURIES FATAL TO MRS. PEARL HOWELL

Former Patterson Woman In Hospital Since Decoration Day

Mrs. Pearl Howell of Des Moines died at a hospital there Monday, Dec. 11. Mrs. Howell had been injured in an automobile accident last Decoration day, while returning to Des Moines from Patterson and had been hospitalized since that time. She was 72 years of age.

Mrs. Howell had spent most of her life in the Patterson and Winterset communities. She was the former Pearl Folwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Folwell. Her husband died several years ago.

She is survived by a daughter, Ruth, with whom she had been making her home. Her near surviving relatives in this community include a sister, Mrs. Otto Riley, and a brother, Ray Folwell of Patterson.

Funeral services will be held from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines this Thursday, at 1 p.m., with burial in the cemetery at Patterson at 2:30 p.m.
