Bevington, March 25, Special. – Thomas Egan, aged 73 years, died at the home of his son, Thomas Egan, Jr., in Des Moines, last Saturday evening, March 22. Funeral services were held at St. John’s Catholic church in Des Moines, with interment in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Irish settlement.
In 1886, Mr. Egan was married to Miss Ann Loftus, who died about fifteen months ago. The couple lived three miles northwest of here until their family was raised, when they moved to Winterset. After Mrs. Egan’s death, Mr. Egan went to live in Des Moines, with his son. Three sons and four daughters survive him, beside many nephews and nieces living here.
