MRS. HESTER B. REED LIFE-LONG RESIDENT

Mrs. Hester B. Reed, whose death on Dec. 7 was reported in the Madisonian last week, was a life-long resident of the Truro community.

She was born on a farm north of Truro on Oct. 2, 1867, a daughter of Evans and Mary Ann Reed. She was 83 years of age at the time of her death.

She was married Aug. 20, 1887, to Bradford Reed. They were the parents of one son, who died at the age of 16 months. Her husband died in 1934. Since then she had made her home with her sister, Lulu, who is her only near surviving relative.
