EARN FRANKLIN FRY

Earn Franklin Fry was born February 15, 1888 at Kingston, Missouri and died November 11, 1964 at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 25 days. His father, mother, younger brother Denton, three half-sisters and three half-brothers preceded him in death.

Earn's whole life was lived here in the home at Earlham except for his year in service during World War I which was mostly served in France.

He was a graduate of Earlham Academy and a member of the Presbyterian church. He was very interested in the youth of Earlham and helped to organize and carry on the work of the first Boy Scout troop formed here.

During the long illness and death of his father, he took over the responsibilities of the home and the care of his two maiden sisters and invalid mother. The loving care and devotion he gave to his invalid mother for so many years was outstanding. His loyalty and service in the American Legion work was also commendable.

He leaves to mourn his loss, one nephew, Fred Fry of Earlham; three nieces, Mary Allen of Ames, Breta Fry of Kansas City and Vivian Zeliadt of Prole; also several distant relatives and close friends.

Our thanks be to God for the life and service of this dear one.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 13, at Evans Funeral Home. Rev. Dean Redshaw and Rev. Ernest Baiotto were in charge. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.
