Ton U. Snider of St. Charles, a lifetime resident of Madison and Warren Counties, died last Saturday, February 1 at Des Moines General Hospital. He was 87 years of age.

Mr. Snider was born in Warren County on April 10, 1887, the son of Uriah and Mary Jane Small Snider. He was married to Leatha Bell Young in Des Moines on February 19, 1913.

Mr. Snider, a farmer, was affiliated with the St. Charles Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Leatha Snider of St. Charles and one son, Carol T. Snider of Winterset. Also surviving are one grandson, four great granddaughters, and a sister, Mrs. A. V. (Jessie) Bean of Winterset.

Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 3 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Eldon Ringle presiding. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
