August 1975Marion C. McKinzie was born October 26, 1905 near Macksburg, Iowa and passed away August 11, 1975 at his home in Winterset.
In 1928 he and Nina Pauline Griswold were united in marriage at Creston. He lived his entire life in Madison county. He retired in 1969 after over 41 years working for the Iowa Highway Commission.
He is survived by his widow Nina and three children: Raymond C. McKinzie, San Jose, California; Mrs. Darold (Norma Jean) Slater, Earlham; and Kenneth D. McKinzie, Belvidere, Illinois; also 11 grandchildren.
He was an active member of Grace Baptist church, Winterset.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. August 13 at Grace Baptist church, Winterset, with burial at the Moon cemetery near Macksburg. Collins funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
