Death of Edward Haymond

Edward Haymond, who had spent the greater part of his life in Madison county, died in Winterset, January 3, at the age of 75 years. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Haymond, and was born in Kankakee, Illinois, June 17, 1854. When six years of age he came with his parents to Des Moines, and later to Madison county.

In 1877 he was married to Miss Jane Thompson, and they were the parents of five children, three of whom died in infancy. He is survived by his wife and two children, Georgia Lehman, of Ellston, and William, of Laramie, Wyoming, and three sisters, five brothers and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, January 5th, at 1:30 o’clock, at the Macksburg Methodist church, with the Rev. Eugene D. Alexander in charge.

Burial was in the Moon cemetery.

Macksburg -

Edward Haymond, a former resident of Grand River township, died in Winterset on Jan. 3.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 5th, at 1:30 o'clock, at the Methodist church in Macksburg, with the Rev. Eugene Alexander in charge.

Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
