Death of Mrs. Emma Pyle

Macksburg, March 31 – Special. - Mrs. Emma Pyle, a former resident of Macksburg, died at Little Rock, Arkansas, Monday, March 24, at the age of 61 years. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Craven. She was married to William V. Pyle in 1887, who died September 4, 1925. They were the parents of six children: Jesse, Claude, Nella, Harl, Ralph and Claire, of which two sons and two daughters remain. Jesse, the eldest, died at the age of 2 years, and Claire, the youngest son, died two months ago. The other children were present at the funeral services, which were conducted in Macksburg Saturday, March 29th, at the Methodist church, by Rev. Eugene Alexander, and burial was in the Moon cemetery.

Mrs. Pyle was a member of the Baptist church and was a charter member of the J. D. Craven Relief Corps, No. 332, of Macksburg.

She also leaves the following sisters and brothers: Sylvester Craven , of Yakima, Washington; Cynthia Herr, of Ellensburg, Washington; Mary E. Dow, of Sherwood, Oregon; Nancy J. Chariton, of Pasadena, California, and Frank C. Craven, of Macksburg.
