EARL RAMSEY

Earl Ramsey, son of William and Susanna Ramsey, was born in Jewell County, Kansas, March 1, 1886 and passed away February 11, 1963 at Winterset Memorial hospital.

At the age of four years, he came with his parents to Madison county, Iowa. He received his education in the rural schools.

In 1910 he was married to Glenn Garrett. At that time they moved to North Dakota and farmed there for ten years, the returned to Iowa. He lived near Earlham for the rest of his life.

Earl loved his home. He was a member of the Earlham Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters and eight brothers. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Glenn; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Benson and Mrs. Emma Moffett; one brother, Milton Ramsey and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services Held For Earl Ramsey

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Earlham Methodist church for Earl Ramsey. Rev. Stephen Cree, pastor of the church was in charge. Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.

Mr. Ramsey was a long-time resident of this community, having farmed in Penn township and later in Adams township for many years.

He had been in failing health for the past few months.
