Oscar Stoneman Funeral Tuesday

Funeral services for Oscar Cecil Stoneman were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 3 from the Kale Funeral home at Truro.

Mr. Stoneman died Sunday, Aug. 1 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. He was 64 years of age.

A son of Orren and Carrie Stoneman, he was born Oct. 27, 1906 in Missouri. He was educated in the Truro schools, and spent his adult life in the Truro area farming and working at the Natural Gas Pipeline station.

Surviving relatives include, Robert and Forest Spencer of Peru, Ralph Spencer of Des Moines, Bill Stoneman and Loren Stoneman of St. Charles.

Officiating at the funeral Tuesday was the Rev. William Andre of St. Charles. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
