FRANCES ALLGEYER, Winterset

Frances Ellen Allgeyer, 93, died Jan. 21, 2007, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. Visitation will be from 1–8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Ochiltree’s, where the family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Frances Allgeyer was born Dec. 29, 1913, in Winterset to Charles Otis and Henrietta (Newerf) Allgeyer. She was a graduate of Winterset High School and later attended Drake University. During her working career, Frances was employed as a secretary for attorneys W.T. Guyer and John Hartley. She later worked in the Madison County Farm Bureau office, from which she retired following 40 years of service. She was a member of the Winterset First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Bud” Allgeyer.

She is survived by a niece, Fran Thompson; and two great-nephews, a great-niece, a great-great-niece, and four great-great-nephews.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Middle River Hospice or the First United Methodist Church, both in Winterset
