Retired Farmer Stricken by Heart Attack Here Tuesday Night
O. E. Hester of Winterset was stricken with a fatal heart attack and died shortly after arrival at Madison county Memorial hospital Tuesday night, May 24. He was 75 years of age.
Mr. Hester was a retired farmer and had been a resident of Winterset for about 12 years. Prior to moving here he had spent about 33 years in the Van Meter community. He was a member of the United Brethren church in Jefferson township.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Ivan Penn of Winterset and Verve Hester at home; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Iona Ramsey of Adel. A daughter, Mrs. Earl Chase and a grandson, Paul Chase, preceded him in death.
Definite funeral arrangements had not been completed as the Madisonian went to press but the services will be held at Adel.
