Funeral Services Were Held From Anderson's This Monday
Mrs. Emma Mauck, a resident of the Winterset community since 1913, died Saturday, Jan. 5, at Madison County Memorial hospital here. She was 89 years of age.
Mrs. Mauck was a native of Indiana, where she was born Sept. 21, 1867. She was the former Emma Elizabeth Bottles, daughter of Jacob and Eliza Keller Bottles.
She was married April 21, 1889 to Fielding W. Cline, who preceded her in death in 1892. They were the parents of three children: Mrs. Maude Fry of Montour and Pat and Walter Cline of Winterset.
On July 26, 1896, she was married to Alfred Mauck. They were parents of four daughters: Mrs. Clella Lewis of Neosho, Mo., Mrs. Arbel Wilson of Madrid, Mrs. Ora Williams of LaVerne, Calif., and Mrs. Nora Gaekle of Pasadena, Calif., and a son who preceeded her in death, Wilbur Mauck.
She had been a member of the Winterset United Presbyterian church since 1931.
In addition to her children, she leaves 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday from Anderson's home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. S. C. Pickens, pastor of the Winterset United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
