Mrs. Clyde C. Husted, a native of Madison county, died Friday, Dec. 11 at the home of her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. A. R. Weed in Lamoni, after a lingering illness. She was 52 years of age.
Mrs. Husted was the former Christina Weed. She was born in Madison county Aug. 6, 1901 and her early life was spent here.
She was married to Clyde C. Husted on Feb. 20, 1918. They were parents of eight children. A daughter, Katherine, died in infancy and a son, Rex, was killed in action in Italy during the war. Her husband also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her parents; six children, Robert Husted of Dayton, O., Mrs. Lila Hegger of Alleman, Arthur Husted of Shedahl, Paul Husted of Winterset, Mrs. Barbara Wenger of Minburn, and Mrs. Mary Ann Julson of Des Moines. She also leaves two brothers, Lonnie Weed of Orient and Lyle Weed of Rochester, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the St. Charles Methodist church Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
