LEONARD DIGGS RITES HELD IN DES MOINES

Leonard Diggs, a native of Madison county, died Dec. 3 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Flossie Struth of Des Moines. He was 81 years of age.

Mr. Diggs was born and spent his early life in Madison county, but moved to Des Moines 50 years ago. Since the death of his wife in 1945, he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Struth.

In addition to the daughter he leaves two sons, Chester and Orville Diggs of Des Moines; three brothers, Bill and George Diggs and Robert Diggs of Earlham; and a sister, Mrs. Alt Utley of Spencer.

Funeral services were held Dec. 7 in Des Moines and burial was made in Laurel Hill cemetery.
