Thursday, April 12, 1923Amelia Wright was born June 5, 1841, in New York state. With her parents she moved to Peoria, Ill. when a baby, where she lived and grew to womanhood. On September 29th, 1863 she was united in marriage to Myron E. Bennett, who preceded her to the life eternal on August 18th, 1911.
To this union four children were born: Charlie R. Bennett, the youngest of the four passed from this life to the life beyond January 26th, 1918. This was a great grief to her in which she never fully became reconciled. The remaining three children still live to mourn the loss of a good, kind and loving mother.
In early life she gave her heart to God and with her husband united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Penn Center, Iowa, where she still remained a member at the time of her passing on. After the death of her husband she came to El Reno, Okla. To make her home with her with whom she was when the death angel called her to her eternal reward.
The surviving children are William Edward Bennett, Van Buren, Ark., Cevilla Taylor, Earlham, and Celinda Menefee El Reno, Okla. All were present at the funeral, held at the Earlham Presbyterian Church, conducted by the pastor. Interment was in Earlham cemetery.
